With great sorrow we announce the passing of Bryan Kirkessner, a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, on February 19, 2025. Born on November 19, 1958, Bryan brought joy and love to every life he touched. A man with an infectious sense of humor, Bryan had an innate ability to make everyone around him laugh. He had a great appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, often found hunting and fishing, sports he deeply cherished.

Bryan is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Kirkessner; his loving children, Amanda Ogle, and Cody Kirkessner; his siblings, Larry Kirkessner, Brenda McGuigan, Donald Kirkessner, and Sue Shanabrough; and his parents, Donald and Patsy Kirkessner. He was a proud grandfather to Tyler Kirkessner, Madison Ogle, and Camden Ogle. Bryan was predeceased by his cherished granddaughter, Avery Ogle, and his in-laws, Frank and Doris Duke.

A dedicated Baltimore Ravens fan, Bryan's fervor for his favourite team was only matched by his love for his family. He held close to his heart, memories made on family trips to popular vacation spots, particularly Ocean City, Md and Chincoteague, Virginia. These locations meant a lot to Bryan, as they offered him an escape and chance to truly enjoy his pastimes.

Bryan will be remembered not just for his sparkling wit and hearty laughter, but also for his enduring love for his family and his passion for the great outdoors. His love for his family always took precedence, making his home a haven of warmth and affection.

In the wake of this significant loss, we find comfort in the shared memories and the lasting impact Bryan had on all of us. We celebrate Bryan’s life and the happiness he brought to ours and honor his memory in our hearts.
