Bryan's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Bryan Fitzpatrick, who was born on April 19, 1955, and sadly left us far too soon on January 14, 2024.
Bryan was a vibrant soul, known for his fun-loving, thoughtful, caring, and compassionate nature. He was a pillar of strength for his family, and his absence will be deeply felt. His legacy remains one of kindness and generosity, a trait he instilled in all who were fortunate to know him. His family will always cherish the profound impact he had on their lives.
He is survived by his loving wife, Annette Feliciani, whom he married in 1981. They had one daughter, Lauren Fitzpatrick-Fania, who he often cited as one of his greatest accomplishments. His son-in-law, Mark Fania, along with his brothers, Richard and Dennis Fitzpatrick, and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Fitzpatrick and Beverly Yager, also survive him. Bryan was a beloved Uncle to nephews Keller, Cameron, Bryan, Jeff, and Wale, his niece-in-law, Anna Fitzpatrick and his great nephew, Liam Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Katherine Fitzpatrick. He was very excited to be "Poppy" to his grandchild, little boy Fania, expected in February.
Bryan was a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, where he earned a BA in Business with an emphasis in Finance and Marketing in 1978 but also met the love of his life, Annette. Following his education, he had a successful career in the insurance industry, first at Allstate in 1978 and then multiple positions and in 1990 started with Willis Towers Watson, where he was an Executive Vice President.
Known as a man of many interests, Bryan enjoyed watching anything on the Food Network, particularly shows featuring Bobby Flay or Guy Fieri, football, golf, cooking, and World War II and spy shows. He was an avid reader of Vince Flynn's books featuring his alter ego, Mitch Rapp.
His love for sports was evident, supporting teams like the Anaheim Ducks (because of his daughter Lauren), the Los Angeles Rams (and he was faithful to them till the end), and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (even though they suck). An ardent golfer, Bryan found joy on the course and at the gym. He had a keen interest in art and wine, both of which he loved to purchase during his travels.
Bryan will be remembered for his love of cooking homemade pasta, anything sweet, and wine from Paso Robles. He loved traveling, especially taking trips with Lauren and Mark to share the experience.
Services for Bryan will be held at San Antonio de Padua del Cañon Church on January 30, starting with the Rosary at 9:30 AM immediately followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support research and education of esophageal cancer to "The Degregorio Family Foundation" at the following address: https://everloved.com/life-of…
As we bid Bryan a final farewell, we remember his life lesson - to treat everyone as though they matter, which epitomizes his spirit of love and acceptance. Bryan Fitzpatrick will be deeply missed by all he touched over the years.
