Bruce's obituary
Bruce was raised and lived in Rockland, MA. A graduate of Rockland High Class of 78. Bruce was, as he put it, a freelancing self-employed carpenter and general Jack of all Trades. Bruce would travel to where the work was all along the South Shore area. He also traveled to other states for work especially for his friends. An all around hard worker, he was passionate, not only about work but sports, music and politics. He fancied himself as a self-taught guitarist. He enjoyed all genres of music from The Beatles, Prince, Elvis Costello to Miranda Lambert. As many of his vast circle of friends at his favorite tavern, Lynch's would attest. He would spend hours playing their jukebox! Bruce lived his life to the fullest, carefree. North Ave won't be the same without seeing him walk the street everyday. He loved his family and friends & his extended family which he lived with for many years, Mary & Lisa Martel & Jeff Roche. He will be missed terribly.
Bruce was the son of Dolores (Smith) Cormican of Texas, and the late Henry J. Smith (Boston). He was the brother of Sheila, Vincent, Walter, Russell, Jeannine, Stirling, Brooke & Meagan. Bruce leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with several great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, November 28th, 2021 at the Rockland Eagles Hall from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
