Bruce's obituary
Bruce Wayne Poole, 65, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2024. Bruce was employed by the State Highway Administration in Maryland for over 35 years, serving as the District Utilities Engineer in the District 1 office until his retirement in 2016. Bruce’s dream was to live in the hollers of Tennessee, where he spent several years building his beautiful dream home that he so graciously shared with others. Most recently, Bruce moved to Palm Coast, Florida to be closer to family members.
Bruce was known for and will be remembered for his kind heart, quick wit, and infectious smile. He enjoyed his skill as a bartender, and enjoyed the time that he was able to serve at the Redskins Stadium. Bruce loved his family, his friends, taking naps, and most especially his loyal dog, Sissy.
Bruce is survived by his three children, son Ben (Leah) Poole, and twin daughters, Rebecca (Alain) Pratte and Maria (Adam) Williams; four grandchildren, Bella, Grant, Micah, and Vinny; Siblings Donna, Mark, Karen and Ron and special friend Tracy Hudson Richardson.
He is preceded in death by his mother Donna Lee Willson, father Marion George "Jim" Poole and granddaughter Evie.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the memories we hold dear.
There will be two celebrations of life.
Adams Taphouse Grill in Fruitland, Maryland, September 8 at 1:00, where light refreshments will be served. Another celebration will be in Florida on September 20th.
Please come and help us celebrate and remember the life of such a wonderful man.
