In Memory of Bruce Floyd Painter
Rest in eternal peace. You will remain in our hearts forever.
Maynardville, TN. February 20, 1957 – July 31, 2023
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Bruce Painter who entered eternal life on July 31, 2023. Born on Feb. 20, 1957, Bruce created beautiful outdoor environments. He designed and built residential and commercial landscapes, integrating plants, trees, stone and water features. Some of his work included the World’s Fair in Knoxville, hotels and historic homes in Tennessee and Virginia.
He had an interest in family genealogy and enjoyed being the family historian. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved early morning and gardening. He built two homes and fulfilled a life long dream when he took a cross-country journey with his beloved jack russell terrier, Tucker.
Bruce treasured his daughter and grandchildren and considered them to be “the best thing I’ve ever done”.
He is survived by his sister, Denise Fisher, brother Matt Painter and his wife Tiffany, daughter Crystal Hunley and her husband Tyler Hunley, beloved grandchildren, Jacob Painter, Caden Hunley, Jade Hunley and Levi Hunley. Nieces Ashley Painter and Rachel Halseth. Nephew Aiden Painter. He was preceded in loss by his mother and father, Doug and Betty Painter and dearly loved brother, Terry Painter.
