After several months of battling COVID-19 and the complications that followed, Bruce Thomas Murphy, 77, passed on August 26, 2021. He was born to Robert and Irene Murphy in St. Cloud, Minnesota on October 21, 1943. Together they raised 2 children Robert Jr. & Bruce. Bruce graduated from Mechanic Arts High School and received a degree from the California State University in Political Science. Bruce moved around throughout his life to several states such as California, Ohio, Missouri, Michigan and lived in England while serving in the Air Force. Senior Airman Murphy served his country for 4 years as a Ground Radio Operator in the Air Force. He was a Championship Boxer for the Air Force where his record was 26-1. After serving in the military, he worked in human resources for several companies. He worked at Dial Corporation where he met Nancy Clouse and they wed in 1991.

He survived by his wife Nancy Murphy; children Chris Murphy, Caitlin Murphy and Connor Murphy; countless extended family members and dear friends.

Bruce's life will be celebrated on April 1, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Church at 11 am followed by his military burial with honors at the National Veteran Memorial of Arizona at 1:30 pm. All are invited to attend.
