Bruce's obituary

Bruce James Lemenager of Longbranch, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Thursday, May 22, 2025, in the company of loved ones. He was born on May 3, 1957, in Renton, Washington to Woodrow M. Lemenager and Eileen G. (Reed) Lemenager.

Bruce grew up in Renton, Washington and upon graduation from Hazen high school, began his career in service with the United States Marine Corps and later the United States Army. After the Army, he was employed in various fields of work driving professionally and working for moving companies through Atlas Van Lines. He topped out his career as a dispatch supervisor for the United States Postal Service.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Lemenager; his son, Cory Barbion; his daughters, Dena Cummins and Tiffany (Gary) Sheppard; his five cherished grandchildren: Elijah, Christian and Michal Cummins, and Ethan and Landon Sheppard; his sister Cally (Bill) Wressell; Three brothers: Greg (Nina) Lemenager, Gary (Maggie) Lemenager, and Joe (Toni) Lemenager; along with all of his nieces and nephews and their families.

A true outdoorsman, Bruce loved waterskiing, boating, hiking, and had a profound passion for fishing.  He was a devoted Seattle sports fan—especially the Mariners, and was an athlete in his own right. He was a life guard and competitive diver in high school, could hold his own on the racquetball courts as a young adult, and enjoyed bowling. His favorite, by far, was playing softball with his friends.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered for the incredible man he was to all who loved him.
