Bruce's obituary
Bruce Clouting, born December 13, 1941, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025. He was a kind, devoted family man, and his absence is deeply felt by his loved ones.
He is survived by his daughters, Dawn(Ron) Melancon and Kris(Scott) Langley; his grandchildren, Zachary and Megan Melancon, and Olivia Langley. Bruce was predeceased by his loving wife, Linda Clouting; his son, Bobby Clouting; and his brothers, Frank and Charles Clouting.
Bruce dedicated many years of his life to volunteering for the Millbrook Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the Village of Millbrook board. His commitment to these organizations was a testament to his caring spirit and his continual desire to contribute to the community he held so dear.
A lover of the simple joys in life, Bruce had a passion for golfing and traveling, especially with his beloved Linda. He also cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. A devoted fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, he would often reminisce about memorable games with friends over a glass of his favorite drink, a perfect Manhattan.
Bruce made a significant impact during his 40+ year career as a traffic manager at Alfa Laval, a testament to his dedication and work ethic. He considered this, along with his beautiful family, to be his greatest accomplishments.
Those who knew Bruce will remember him for his kindness and for the love he had for his family and community. His legacy will continue through the lives of those he touched and the organizations he passionately served.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Millbrook, NY, where Bruce spent a majority of his life.
In Bruce's final years he resided at Plymouth Inn where he enjoyed participating in the activities that were provided by the Activity Department - his favorite was Bingo! He couldn't physically participate in the table-top bowling, but he would always watch and cheer on the fellow residents who fondly referred to him as "Coach". The Activity Department played a crucial role in Bruce's enjoyment of participating in social activities. In honor of Bruce and his love of participating in the activities at Plymouth Inn, please consider making a donation to The Activities Department, The Plymouth Inn, 205 N. Haggerty Road, Plymouth MI 48170 (make check payable to Amy Bunch). Donations can also be made in Bruce's honor to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
