Bruce Edward Cain passed away on the 21st day of October 2024, in Aurora Colorado. Bruce was born December 21, 1952 in Nashua New Hampshire. He was born in an unwed mother's home where he spent the first few months with his mother Jacqueline Huff - Findley. Due to circumstances and the era he was born in, he was placed into multiple group including foster care as he grew up. His mom and family were in and out of his life but ever present. His favorite toy growing up was a stick that he was rarely seen without. At the age of 13 he branched out into life on his own. Having to grow up quickly he took on many different jobs ranging from the forestry service to a lumberjack and working in meat processing plants. He did manual labor jobs and was a farmhand at a time. At the age of 18 he was drafted into the air force for the Vietnam war. He only served a matter of a couple months. In his early twenties he met and started a family with JoMarie Stephens. Bruce took on her four young boys as his own. Around this time he also started his own roofing and construction company. He seen many years of success with his company and was able to support and grow his family by four more. Family was everything to him. He loved family outings. Bruce would take all the kids camping for weeks on end every year. The national stock show and rodeo was another big thing that he would take the entire family on multiple days every year. Summers were full of trips to Elitch Gardens and many other carnivals. He always made it a point to go on field trips with the kids for school. The family would go on weekend trips to the mountains hiking or Rock hunting the biggest thing was finding arrowheads. Almost every weekend was always filled with a family outing. Not having much as a kid or not being able to do much, he made sure his children never went without. Holidays and birthdays were always a big shindig with lots of splurging. He always made it a point to help those in need especially at the holidays. He would purchase Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for most of his work crews and made sure their families did not ever go without at Christmas time. He was a huge gift giver. Bruce was also really big on his kids with sports. He was the first to sign up for coaching and spent many hours doing fundraising. He was always volunteering his time for sports. He made many friends throughout the years because of baseball. All his kids grew up playing baseball. It was a big thing. He sponsored and coached many teams throughout the years throughout all the kids. He even made it a point to help other kids on the team when needed. Bruce was a big collector and collected many things for himself and created collections for each of his children. Bruce was a big animal lover and always surrounded himself with pets. He had everything from fish and dogs to exotics. He was also big on taking care of nature. Bruce made it a point that he never leave a trace when he was camping or hiking, everything had to be picked up and cleaned up. Bruce was a vegetarian and proud of it. Never wanted to eat anything with a face. He had a big heart and always wanted to take care of people. Bruce was very similar to say Scrooge or the Grinch. He was very grumpy most of the time but always had people's best interest in mind. He was very down to earth and you would never see him in a suit or tie. He was a true country boy trapped in the city. Bruce made sure to give all his children a childhood that he could only have dreamed of. Bruce’s way of showing his love was with materialistic giving and spending quality time. He loved his children and family very much. Bruce was known to always fight for what he believed to be right and would protect his family with everything he had. He is survived by his children, Bobby, Walter, Raymond, Michelle, Jennifer, Christopher, and Crystal. Also his grandchildren, Micheal, Shannon, Noah, Brice, Zach, Clay, Tandem, Tate, Ashley, Gavin, Autumn, Athene, Hayden, Joseph, Gabriel, and Beau.
