Karen, Brandon and Leah: we were very sad to hear about your loss, but then reflected on his life and the joy he brought to everyone he encountered. That smile was always there and we never saw him upset or down about anything. A true cowboy spirit who enjoyed life and everything he encountered. We are sorry we missed the celebration, but we had our boys and grandchildren coming to visit we and had to get to the airport here Saturday morning and then in Durango for an annual 4 th of July trip in Pagosa Springs. I am certain it was something to be at knowing how Bronson touched everyone he met. Ned and Denise Shepherd

Bob Pate
1999, Belen NM, USA @ Bronson's home
My son, Chad Pate and I had gone to Belen to have his new team roping horse checked and vaccinated.  Bronson and Mrs. Springstein were completing the paperwork and Bronson asked for the name of the horse. Chad had purchased the horse from a college boy and he had named him Acid. We did not like the name and Bronson said we need to come up with a name, not Acid.  Mrs. Springstein asked, since he was a team roping horse, did he pull hard? Chad said yes, and she asked, "does he pull like a truck or a diesel?" Chad said yes, "Diesel". Bronson smiled and wrote the name Diesel. Dr. Springstead always knew his patients name and their owners.  We always looked forward to seeing them and hearing his stories of what was happening in "his" circle. We do not have horses anymore, but still miss our annual visits.  Long live Bronson's memories.  - Bob Pate.
