Britta had a deep love for life and its quirks. She reveled in dark humor, bright colors (especially green), and had a gift for making people laugh even in tough moments. Fiercely nonjudgmental, she believed in unlimited chances and always respected others for their authenticity.
Above all, Britta adored her daughters, Grace and Brennan, who were her greatest pride and joy. She loved them deeply.
Her eclectic passions included inappropriate jokes, every genre of music, food like: sour candy, anything spicy, pickled okra, Liquid Death, Candy Apple Faygo, Dr. Pepper, Monster, and Hot Cheetos. She enjoyed watching shows like Malcolm in the Middle, Supernatural, The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Death Note with her kiddos. Podcasts like Timesuck and Scared to Death and authors like H.P. Lovecraft and Roald Dahl fueled her imagination. Her playlist featured everything from Breaking Benjamin to G-Eazy to Aventura to Tim McGraw and everything in between.
Britta’s quick wit, shenanigans, endearing stories, and unconditional love will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 18, 2024 in Colleyville, TX, from 1 PM to 4 PM. There will be another on February 22nd in Lovington, NM. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her life and sharing memories.
Britta’s legacy of love, laughter, and acceptance will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. We will miss her deeply but find comfort in knowing she left this world a more vibrant and compassionate place.
