Britta's obituary

In Loving Memory of Britta Marque Mann

Britta Marque Mann

Born: September 27, 1989, in Hobbs, New Mexico

Passed: December 30, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Britta Marque Mann on December 30, 2024. Born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on September 27, 1989, Britta’s vibrant presence and unique personality left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Britta was preceded in death by her stepmother, Sherry Mann; grandparents Nancy E. Brewer, William (Lucky) E. Beam, and Wayne L. Mann; as well as her beloved nieces and nephews, Ivory J. Willburn and Jayden W. Willburn.

She is survived by her cherished daughters, Grace L. Voigts and Brennan E. Laguna-Mann. Britta’s memory lives on in her siblings: Caden A. Beam, Christopher M. and Jordan A. Mann, Charlotte C. Beam and John M. Wilson, Jack W. and Kristen Wilburn, and Jammie Andrieux. She is also survived by her loving parents, Brandy R. and Mark E. Hollister, and Micheal W. Mann, along with her grandmother, Danna Mann. Her extended family includes aunts and uncles Stormy A. Beam, Shawn Beam, Tommy J. Ballew, Shane and Shanna Burt, Mark and Christy Mann, Nicholas Mann, Jordan Beam, and Timothy Beam; and cousins Lisa E. Beam, Alyssa A. Whiteley, Khalil and Stephanie Makarem, Joey Burt, Malakai Burt, Gavin, Skyler, and Meadow Ballew and lots of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Britta had a deep love for life and its quirks. She reveled in dark humor, bright colors (especially green), and had a gift for making people laugh even in tough moments. Fiercely nonjudgmental, she believed in unlimited chances and always respected others for their authenticity.

Above all, Britta adored her daughters, Grace and Brennan, who were her greatest pride and joy. She loved them deeply.

Her eclectic passions included inappropriate jokes, every genre of music, food like: sour candy, anything spicy, pickled okra, Liquid Death, Candy Apple Faygo, Dr. Pepper, Monster, and Hot Cheetos. She enjoyed watching shows like Malcolm in the Middle, Supernatural, The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Death Note with her kiddos. Podcasts like Timesuck and Scared to Death and authors like H.P. Lovecraft and Roald Dahl fueled her imagination. Her playlist featured everything from Breaking Benjamin to G-Eazy to Aventura to Tim McGraw and everything in between.

Britta’s quick wit, shenanigans, endearing stories, and unconditional love will be sorely missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 18, 2024 in Colleyville, TX, from 1 PM to 4 PM. There will be another on February 22nd in Lovington, NM. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her life and sharing memories.

Britta’s legacy of love, laughter, and acceptance will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. We will miss her deeply but find comfort in knowing she left this world a more vibrant and compassionate place.
