Brian John "BJ" Wheeler Sr., 61, of Oakland, ME, passed away on July 07, 2022 unexpectedly after a myocardial infarction. Brian was born on April 19th 1961 to Cecil L. Wheeler Jr. & Joan M. (Carter) Wheeler in Farmington, ME. He graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1979, and began working at International Paper. He also worked for Johnny’s Selected Seeds in Winslow, where his work family became he’s real family. He went on to own and operate Dragons Edge Tattoo & True Ink tattoo, after learning his love for tattooing. He met Theressa Savage, the love of his life, while they were both working on his parent’s property, the pair began a friendship, even though life took them in different directions they went on to create fruitful paths of their own, but reunited, finding love within one another and were planning to wed in 2023.

He created his family with son Brian J. Wheeler Jr. & Daughter Brooke J. (Whitney) Bennett, grandchildren who were the light of his existence, Renee Wheeler, Hannah, Jayden, Drake & Braeden Bennett. Brian was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them all he could in life. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Brian & Brooke always trying his best to support them.

As a young man he worked his way through cub scouts, earning the achievement of eagle scout, a badge he wore proudly through life. Brian was also a passionate motorcyclist and could often be found with his Harley Davidson Dina Wide Glide when he wasn’t at home, his favorite places to travel were Acadia & Bar Harbor. Anyone who knew Brian, knew that he was the most loving father and partner his family could ask for.

Brian was predeceased by his father Cecil L. Wheeler Jr., Grandparents Cecil L. Wheeler Sr, Hilda M. (Turner) Wheeler, John L. Carter & Rosabelle G. (Merry) Carter.

Brian is survived by his children Brian J. Wheeler Jr. & Daughter Brooke J. (Whitney) Bennett. His grandchildren Renee Wheeler, Hannah, Jayden, Drake & Braeden Bennett. His life partner Theressa Savage. His mother Joan Wheeler. His sister Kathleen Jacobs, brothers Geary & Jeffrey Wheeler and their families.
