Brian's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Patrick Weis, who departed this life on December 10, 2023. Born on March 12, 1978, Brian enriched the lives of those around him for 45 wonderful years.
Brian's infectious laughter and energetic spirit will be dearly remembered by his wife, Lisa. A warm, caring, silly, and affectionate soul, Brian had a knack for making everyone around him feel loved and appreciated. Brian delighted in making people laugh, especially his wife.
Brian's professional cooking accomplishments were nothing short of notable. Having traveled as far as New York City to exercise his culinary expertise, he was a master in the kitchen, bestowing upon his loved ones the gift of his delicious creations. He particularly loved to share his recipe for warm nuts.
Having grown up in Florida, Brian loved when it would snow in the Pacific Northwest. “Yay snow!” he would exclaim. He learned to snowboard and conquered the mountains. Lisa came along a couple times, but she liked sitting by the fire in the lodge the best. Brian’s enjoyment of skateboarding continued into his adult life, as well as his interest in martial arts and katanas. He drove a Subaru WRX, a car he coveted for years and finally bought in 2021.
One of the most profound sources of joy in his life were his beloved kitties, Liandrin and Orion. Orion especially bonded with Brian, and would follow him around the house. He missed the cats that came before: Eve, Riley, and Bella. All brought him immense happiness and laughter.
We are inviting friends and family to join us in celebrating Brian's life and reminiscing about the joyful memories we shared. The funeral service will be held on April 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Fort Myers. Let us gather to bid a loving farewell to Brian and to honor his memory.
As we mourn Brian's passing, we also remember his zest for life, his love for his family, and his persevering spirit. Brian's warmth and kindness served as a beacon of light in our lives, and his memory will endure. Rest in peace, dear Brian. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
