Brian's obituary

Brian L. Trent, loving father and husband passed away peacefully at his home on November 6, 2022  with his best friend and loving wife Bonnie Jo at his side.

Brian was born on April 24, 1949 in Elgin, IL. to his parents Jack Trent and Lucille {DePue} Trent. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Jo {Roberson} and their children Hallie Jo {Boswell} Hastings of Southaven, MS and Seth Boswell of Mundelein, IL.

Also survived by their seven grandchildren: Shayann Hastings, Chicago, IL, Breanna {Hastings} Townsel, Memphis, TN, Blake Hastings, Olive Branch, MS, Lexie {Hastings} Downs, Grand Prairie, TX, Renee Hastings, Southaven, MS, Caleigh Boswell, Mundelein, IL and Jackson Boswell, Mundelein, IL.

Also survived by great grandchildren: Nyomi and Phebe Townsel, Memphis, TN.

Brian had many careers throughout his life and lived in Palatine his entire life. In his younger years, Brian worked at Molon Motor and Coil Corp. , Rolling Meadows as an inspector on the floor. He continued his career at Palatine Ace Hardware, in Palatine where he began as a cashier and then was promoted to Department Manager. Brian also worked at U-Haul in Palatine, as general assistance. His last position was with the Palatine Police Department as District 15 Elementary School Crossing Guard in Palatine.

Brian was very proud to be a free Mason in IL and a member of Palatine Masonic Lodge #314 A.F.A.M. Also, he was a member of the Valley of Chicago Scottish Rite in Bloomingdale. He was also a member, along with Bonnie Jo, of Order of the Eastern Star Illinois Palatine Chapter 585.

Brian had several hobbies which included sailing scaled R/C boats in Schaumburg, IL for Fleet4 Commanders.

He also enjoyed camping with Bonnie Jo, friends, and family, and taking road trips to visit his children and grandchildren.

Several of Brian’s Uncles, along with his Grandfather {DePue} were Masons.

Brian will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He had a kind and gentle heart with a great smile for everyone and will be missed by all.

Celebration of Life will be November 20th, 2022, Palatine Masonic Lodge located at 455 W. Dundee Road in Palatine, IL at 1pm.
