So sorry to hear of Brian’s sudden passing. Brian was my cousin and lived with us for his final year of high school after his fathers work transferred him to Havre Boucher. I was probably  6 or 7 at the time and 45 years later don’t remember a lot of particular events in my childhood. But I have a very vivid memory of being bullied by a family of young boys in the neighbourhood and being afraid to walk to school…every day for a week Brian put me on his shoulders and walked me to the doors of the elementary school. I was in grade 1 and him in grade 12. He was my hero at the time and I remember having to write about our hero and I put his name…I remember well because I wrote Brain instead of Brian and the teacher gave it back for me to correct. My condolences to the whole family dealing with such a terrible loss.

I often think of Brian and how appreciative we should be of each day. I played hockey with Brian through the 90's and later.  He was a stand up guy and always a lot of fun.  As we all know, he was a little heavier back then but, still a big force on the ice.  The last time I saw Brian was at Kelly's birthday and I was sitting next to Brian for the better part of 30 minutes before I recognized him.  I could not believe the transformation he had made. He seemed extremely  happy and very proud of what he had accomplished. He was a big big inspiration to me, and I often think of him when I'm having a bad day or feeling non-appreciative of what I have.  RIP Brian

Brain has left this world in a better place.

What stands out the most for me is how Brian lived his life with humility and compassion.

I first met Brian and Charlotte over 30 years ago, I was drawn to their spirit for adventure and fun. I remember their venture with the Inside Edge ski club at whistler, and their love of entertaining, preparing themed meals, and their birds were treated as equal members of their family.

Then came Kelly, and off they left Vancouver and moved to their forever home, next came Melanie and Cayla. Their home is filled with love and beautiful energy, shared with friends, celebrations, BBQ’s, parties, the interactive games that Brian set all up for all of us to enjoy.

Brian was kind and cared deeply about the people he met during his journey. He had an intuitive sense of awareness of others, their feelings and insight to action small and subtle gestures to lift their spirits, especially children. This is captured by the stories shared by relatives and friends that highlight Brian’s kind-heartedness.

Yes, the world is certainly a better place because of Brian Snow.

It has been a privilege to have known him and to have had him as my friend. I say the same about my friend Charlotte, and the beauty she brings to us with her beautiful garden, her Christmas decorations, her artistic talent and her comforting words each time we connect.

We are here for you Charlotte as your life moves forward.

Brian was a great man.  I had the pleasure of playing hockey with him for quite a few years. Always a good sport and always good fun.  So sorry to hear of his sudden passing. A loss for all who knew him and all that didn't get to meet him.
