Brian Joseph Schexnayder
Brian Joseph Schexnayder, known to many as “Giz,” age 54, of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away on December 12, 2025. Born on August 11, 1971, in Hammond, Brian spent his life in Tangipahoa Parish, building a reputation for reliability, honesty, and service.
Brian grew up on his family’s farm in Loranger, Louisiana, where he learned the value of hard work and personal responsibility at a young age. Those lessons shaped both his career and his character. He was self-employed for many years, operating Rain-Ker Specialties, a local gutter and garage door business known for dependable workmanship and integrity.
Above all else, Brian was a devoted father and provider. He was hardworking, jovial, and deeply caring toward others, particularly the elderly and those in need. Brian believed in meeting practical needs and serving quietly, often without seeking recognition. His steady presence and willingness to help left a lasting impact on many.
Brian is survived by his mother, Sheilah Schexnayder; his children, Keri Schexnayder, Rainee Schexnayder, Logan Schexnayder, and Dolan Schexnayder; and his siblings, Babette Schexnayder, Joy Schexnayder, Connie Schexnayder, and Sheilah Gondolf and Husband Charles, and his sister-in-law, Charlotte Schexnayderi. He is also remembered by extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Schexnayder, and his brother, Jimmy Schexnayder.
Brian will be remembered as a loving father, a dependable worker, and a man whose life was marked by service and care for others.
