Personal note from Alex Bartholomaus

It has taken a couple of days to process the news of Pips passing. He was my big brother in the illustrious line of Charlie Carter, Jason Elliott, Brian and myself.

I reflected on my time with Pip at W&M and PiLam. While outspoken and an easy target on many topics like food, his back, drunken escapades, and Long Island isms, he epitomized everything that is good about brotherhood, as he would give any PiLam the shirt off his back and/or run into any fight to protect a brother.

Reflecting back these past couple of day and his impact as a big brother, I realized that outside of some of my pledge brothers, there was no one more present in my 4 years of W&M than Pip. It helped that he had a 5th year and throughout the time as my "Big", he always listened and provided a perspective that you would want any real big brother to share.

I choose to remember Pip with the pictures I have posted. A good friend, an amazing goalie, a lover of good food and drink.

I am deeply saddened that I won't be able to say goodbye and tell him what a difference he made in my 4 years at W&M.
