Strength to his lovely mother Micheline and resignation to Brian's family. For sure he is a better place now, shining with perpetual light.
Brian was wonderful to work with because he cared. Jack Welch once said that when there is ever doubt in a group as to who should be in charge of a given project or product, put the person who cares the most in charge. Well, Halliburton did well to put Brian in charge of barite because he really cared. It was catching too. I found myself caring often because he cared. I was glad to be on the team of a real expert. I once heard someone from another division of Halliburton talking about how passionate Brian was about barite and she did not even know him. She had only heard him talking shop in the elevator about barite. Also, Brian introduced me to the Australian comedy of Clark and Dawes, which often makes me laugh even now. In the end, although I did not know him well, it is clear that Brian cared deeply about what he put his hand and mind to do. That's something that I'm better off for having been around. I'll likely laugh a lot today, in part thanks to his telling me about Clark and Dawes, but when I do, I'll miss him too.

Losing a family member is always difficult, but to lose your only child must be unbearable. Brian was a remarkable young man who will be missed by everyone. He was proud of and dedicated to his job at Halliburton. He was intelligent, humorous and made friends easily. My sincere condolences to Micheline who was his strength and support these last few years. My condolences also go out to Xavier Badoux, who Brian loved deeply.

Micheliene we are so sorry for your loss. Brian was as kind as he was brilliant and the world has lost an amazing spirit. He was my friend and brother and we miss him dearly.
Love you,
