Brian's obituary
June 14, 1978 – November 14, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Brian David McInerney, a devoted father, loyal friend, and accomplished entrepreneur, on November 14, 2024, at the age of 46.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Brian was a proud resident of Dracut, where he excelled both academically and athletically. After graduating from Dracut High School, Brian went on to play college football at Saint Anselm College, a source of great pride and accomplishment in his life. Throughout his career and personal life, his intelligence, work ethic, and determination were evident in all he pursued. He built a successful career as an entrepreneur, excelling in small business development and real estate.
Brian's greatest joy in life was his role as a father to his two sons, Jack and Luke McInerney. He loved spending time with them and was always their biggest supporter, whether on or off the field. Coaching their youth sports teams was a highlight of his life, as he valued teaching them teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
A man of varied interests, Brian enjoyed time on his boat at Long Pond, skiing, golfing, fishing, and practicing martial arts. These activities allowed him to connect with nature, find peace, and challenge himself. Above all, Brian valued the time he spent with his family and friends, creating memories full of laughter, love, and loyalty. He was known for his quick wit, sharp mind, and the unwavering support he offered to those he loved.
Brian is survived by his two beloved sons, John “Jack” McInerney and Luke McInerney, and their mother, Angela Ciprari McInerney.
He will also be deeply missed by his mother, Colleen Mullin (McInerney) (Swiniarski); his father, David McInerney; and his stepfather, John “Jake” Swiniarski. Brian shared a special bond with his loving sister, Meghann Marvin (McInerney), and her husband, Jeffrey; and his brother, Steve Mullin, and his wife, Jenna.
Brian’s memory will live on in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless dear friends who were touched by his kindness, humor, and generous spirit. His passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his love and light will be forever cherished.
