Brian's obituary
Brian was a long-time resident of Richmond Hill and in recent years split his time between the trailer in Baldwin, ON, and Florida. Brian is predeceased by the love of his life Audrey Elizabeth (Betty) McGuinness, his parents John and Gertrude McGuinness, stepmother Bea, his beloved sister Gail, brother-in-law Armand and nephew Mike Mainella.
Brian is survived by his four children, Cindy McGuinness Bingham, (John Murrell), Patricia McGuinness Wiemer (Kevin), Kevin (Debbie Olley) Billingham, and Kelly Billingham (Marlon) Legare; five grandchildren, Brittany, Meaghan, and Jesse Wiemer; Rodney and Cassy Legare. He will be sorely missed by his niece Angie (Bob) Hardy and her family, nephews Dan and Tim Mainella, and in-laws John and Marie Crilly.
We can’t remember Brian without remembering Betty. Brian and Betty met at OPFA where they made many long-time friends. Brian loved his classic MGB and for years they traveled the car show circuit and drove in many a car rally. Brian was an avid amateur photographer, and his photography will provide a beautiful biography of his life. Since retiring, they became seasoned travelers and got to see much of the world.
Cremation has taken place and at Brian’s request a celebration of life for both Brian and Betty will be held when we can all join hands, hug, and remember all the good times, laughter and joy, they brought us.
In lieu of flowers and to honor his memory we ask that donations be directed to one of the hospitals that cared for him over the years; Credit Valley Hospital (The Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre), North York General, or Humber River Hospital.
