Obituary for Brian G. Landry
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brian Gervais Landry, a beloved father, son, brother, partner, and friend. He passed away unexpectedly on April 18th of 2025 following several lifelong battles. Brian’s journey through life was not an easy one, and though he faced many hardships, he carried love in his heart and left a lasting mark on those who knew him. He passed away leaving behind a legacy of raw emotions, warmth, and a voice that could light up any room with a country song.
Brian was the proud father of Kayla G. Landry, his greatest joy, whom he lovingly brought into the world with Christy Baker. Despite life’s struggles, his love for Kayla never wavered. He is survived by his father, Gervais Landry, and his stepmother, Paula Bedard Landry, who supported him throughout life’s hardships. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Lee Landry, whose memory always stayed close. Brian is also remembered by his brothers, Steve Landry and Chris Manning who always kept him full of life. Brian also leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Jennifer Castro, who brought comfort and joy into his life, and his faithful dog, Gizmo, who was his constant companion and best buddy.
Brian worked hard as a construction worker, building not just structures but relationships with those who knew his outgoing spirit and hard work ethic. He loved singing country music, enjoying good food, fishing, playing with Gizmo, and sharing laughs with loved ones. His sense of humor, his big heart, and his unforgettable warmth are gifts that will live on in the memories of those who loved him.
Brian’s life was marked by struggle, and while he faced challenges that he could not ultimately overcome, he never stopped trying. He fought longer and harder than many knew, and his life was filled with moments of real love, deep feeling, and resilience.
To those who knew him best, Brian was more than his battles—he was a man who loved deeply, who tried hard, and who mattered. He will be remembered not for how he passed, but for how he lived, and for the love he gave to those around him during his best moments.
Brian’s family will have an intimate gathering to celebrate his life and remember times of joy.
Rest easy, Brian. You are free now, and your memory will live on in all of us.
