Brian's obituary
Brian J. Foster, known to so many as “Big Kountry,” passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 31, 2025, at the age of 37. Born on June 16, 1988, in Dallas, Texas.
Brian grew up with an adventurous spirit, a booming sense of humor, and a presence as bold and unforgettable as his heart was big. He graduated from North Garland High School, where he was recognized for his artistic talent and architectural creativity. Over the years, Brian worked in many fields, but his true calling was always found in mechanic shops. Cars were a passion passed down from his father. Outside of work, he found joy in video games, pulling pranks, cracking jokes, and sharing anything he thought was interesting. His loved ones will forever miss his unforgettable “Are you OK?” calls, his infectious laugh and the way he playfully got after his mom by calling her “Terri Lee.”
Brian was preceded in death by step-mother Susan Foster, his brothers Tyler Robison, Michael Pope, maternal grandfather Charles J. Orr Jr., maternal grandmother Barbara Bird and Bill “Big Paw” Bird, as well as his paternal grandparents Robert Foster and Inez Sanders.
Brian is survived by his children, Abigail and Bryce Foster, and their mother, Alivia Bickham; his partner, Megan Wade and her daughter Abigail Obrien; his father, Richard M. Foster and his wife Kim Drake-Foster; his mother, Terri L. Wilkes and her husband Dean Wilkes; his brother Christopher M. Foster and fiancé Laura Fincher; nieces Kambrey Foster, Kalli Fincher and Kynlee Fincher; siblings Spencer Foster, Jared Robison, Clayton Drake, Cade Drake, Chloe Drake; and close friends, Will Richmond and Tiffany Sampson. As well as many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brian will be remembered for his wit, his desire to fill every room with laughter, and above all, the fierce love he carried for his children. They were the fire that kept him moving forward, even on his hardest days. Every step Brian took was guided by his love for Abigail and Bryce. With dedication and heart, he worked toward building a bright future, not just dreaming of it but taking every opportunity to make it real. His family and friends are forever grateful for the gift of this past year, filled with laughter, love, and moments that will live on in their hearts. Brian’s story continues in every joke retold, every smile he sparked, and every act of love that carries his spirit forward. A memorial service and celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date. The family will share details once arrangements are complete.
