Brian's obituary
Brian, born on the bright and sunny morning of February 22nd, 1980 to Gail Gibbs in Yonkers NY and was a bright spark from the very beginning. He and Jezebel Vasquez had 2 children together during their 20+ year relationship. He leaves his legacy Brian Gibbs (Bulito) and Brinise Gibbs (Bri Bri). He also leaves to his cherish memory two siblings: Kevin Gibbs and Clifford Gibbs. His children remember him as a loving father that worked relentlessly to ensure his children had a better life than he did. He was preceded in death by Mother Gail Gibbs, Grandmother Luvenia Gibbs, and Uncle Charles “ Junie” Gibbs.
A stranger to no one, Brian discovered his passion for music at a very young age. He excelled at rapping, While attending Gorton high school, Brian went on to to pursue his music career independently, he made many appearances on local mixtapes and even dropped his own mixtape. Brian’s biggest passion in life was music. An avid lyricist , he spent countless hours perfecting his ability. Brian was a member & founder of FACES; a career spanning over 35 years, and he had the opportunity to perform at the world famous Apollo theatre.
Brian also dabbled in other pursuits, including acting, writing, and managing . He would frequently surprise friends and family with unexpected music videos or studio sessions which he became famous in the neighborhood for. His goal was to tell his story through his music. He was known for inspiring young artists to pursue their music career, and help start some of the hottest rappers in Yonkers. Anyone who knew Brian knew the type of soul he had, which makes this loss even more difficult.
