Brian's obituary
Brian Flores Sr., aged 44, of Vacaville, California, passed away on May 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with colon cancer.
Born on August 31, 1980, Brian was known for his caring and protective nature, his sharp sense of humor, and his unmistakable sense of style. He had a deep love for his family, a lifelong passion for sports and cars, and a gift for bringing people together.
A proud graduate of Vacaville High School, Class of 1999, Brian was deeply involved in athletics and carried his competitive spirit and love for the game throughout his life. He was a devoted fan of the Oakland A’s and the San Francisco 49ers, and he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his teams—whether from the stands or at home with loved ones.
Above all, Brian had a profound love for the Lord and a strong, personal relationship with Him. His faith was the foundation of his strength and peace, especially throughout his illness. As a member of The Father’s House Vacaville Campus, Brian found community, spiritual growth, and a deep connection with God that guided him daily.
He is survived by his loving parents, Bill and Josie Flores; his cherished son, Brian Flores Jr.; his brother, Harvey Gomes; his sisters, Frances Gomes and Brittany Flores; and his grandfather, Gus Flores. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and his beloved dog, Gotti. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Barbara Flores and Aurora Vega, and his sister, Asia Flores.
A service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held on June 20, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at The Father’s House Vacaville Campus, Building C.
Brian’s presence will be deeply missed. His legacy of love, laughter, faith, and strength will continue to inspire all who had the honor of knowing him.
