We were so sorry to hear about Brent’s passing. He was a great guy — kind, funny, and genuine. We will always remember the good times we shared back in high school. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Years ago, our youngest daughter wrote a poem about watching dawn break on the oak-studded Pacific coast, asking whether the morning light existed to illuminate the oaks, or if the oaks existed to reflect and embody the light. That thought returned to me time and again as I reflected on my too-brief passage with Brent as his patient. From our very first meeting — professional, incredibly thorough, and utterly humane and engaging —I realized you couldn't be in his presence without him brightening and enlightening the moment and the day. He was very much a man who reflected and embodied the Light of Christ, and a blessing to us indeed.

My condolences to Brent's family. I first met Brent in High School and we played high school basketball against each other. We developed a friendship and we were roommates while at chiropractic college. He was also a groomsman in my wedding. I will miss this big guy greatly.

My sincere condolences to the family. Brent was always so upbeat in life-even when us cousins/siblings had him racing to get more of Carol's pizza burgers for us! He will be missed!

Deja, I was so saddened to learn of Brent's passing, posted on the Clarkfield Friends Facebook page. You may remember Ruth and I as first cousins of your late MIL, Carol. We had the honor of attending your wedding in Tucson, as we were living in Surprise, AZ at the time. You remember the beautiful outdoor venue spruced the place up a bit by adding some green dye to the lawn prior to your ceremony. Some of us who walked on that lawn had telltale green soles on our shoes for quite some time after, a delightful reminder of your beautiful wedding.
I was also saddened to learn of Brent's battle with NonHodkins Lymphoma. As a survivor of that disease I know the stress that you all went through.
Please greet Brent's family for us. Although we won't be able to attend the memorial ceremony we will be thinking of you, and you will be in our prayers.

I feel truly blessed to have known Brent and his wonderful family as a patient under their nurturing care. From the very beginning, they radiated warmth and goodness, and I instantly felt at home. Over the years, they’ve become more than caregivers—they’ve become part of my life.
This loss is a profound shock to us all, yet I believe Brent was called home and heard those cherished words: ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant.’ Deja and girls, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. May the peace that comes from knowing nothing can separate us from the love of God be your comfort today and always.
