Brendalee's obituary

Brendalee "Bee" Carter, born on July 23, 1957 in Silver Creek, NY went straight to heaven on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the age of 66, following a brief illness.

Brendalee attended Silver Creek Central Schools, and spent much of her life as a stay at home mom to all those who lovingly called her "Mom", and to be honest, most of the neighborhood.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, Roy and Ethel Kew, her sister Gail Kew, a brother Wayne Kew, her first great love, Jerome Simpson, her baby girl Bonnie, two step sons, Leon and Merle, a step daughter Dorothy, a grandson Ben, and many cherished inlaws.

Brendalee is survived by her 3 children, Heather (Robert) Harris, Rebecca (Thomas) Chaplin and Charles Simpson, step sons Kenny (Stacey), Jerry, Alan, Richard and John, step daughters Mariva (Brad) Blex, Barbara (Ken) Denton, and Elaine Bush. She is also survived by sisters Barbara (Phillip) Azzarella and Ruthann (Roy) Foster, sister in law Stephanie Kew, daughter in law Lucinda, and brother in law Les Simpson. Brendalee had special close knit friends, to include Steve Peck, Wayne and Dorothea Tooley and Carol Smith. She served as a bonus mom to Ashley & Keith Ubinger, Derrick & Andrea Oliver, Krista Knott, Halye Wilson and so many others who were lucky to know her.

She was a proud grandma to many: Sean, Isabelle, Chris, Jonathan (Jeanne), Linda (Ahren), Donivan (Natalie) Paytin, Asher, Tane, Charles, Sophia, Kiersten (Darrin), Sabastian, Jasper and Jeb,  as well as great grandchildren Peyton, Damian, Luke, Felicity and Lucian. Brendalee was known as "Aunt Bee" to many neices and nephews, over several generations and they each held their own special spot in her heart.

She particularly loved having coffee with her rescue pup, Pretty Girl,  in her lap, and catching up with "her people". Serving as the village Nana, she kept everyone in line, and in the most recent years, became known as "Sassy Nana". She moved from the east coast to the mid west in 2011, and her house was the place to gather for food, coffee, hugs and chatter. She was, as one of her favorite people said, fiercely loyal.

Brendalee is so loved and will be so sorely missed by those of us left behind
