Mrs. Brenda Lynn Kordzikowski, age 68, of Lyons, passed away June 8, 2020 at her residence. Brenda was born and lived in Lyons, GA all her life, and graduated in 1969 from Lyons High School. Early in her adult life, she was employed by Toombs County Manufacturing, later the Peoples Bank for many years, and more recently as animal control officer with Vidalia Animal Control. Being an animal lover, she was instrumental in helping form the Lyons Animal Shelter years ago. She was Baptist by faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Maraia; her daughter, Michelle Lynn Dukes; her parents, Garland A. Lynn, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Claxton Lynn; her siblings Aaron Lynn, Charles Lynn and Barbara Lynn Hall.

Brenda is survived by her husband Paul “Ski” Kordzikowski; one niece, Tammy Hall of Dublin, GA; three nephews, Dr. Allen Lynn and wife Sun-A of Wilmington, North Carolina, Barry Hall of Reidsville, and Ashley Lynn of Alston.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 10th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lyons City Cemetery with Reverend Daniel Gilliam officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 9:30 until just prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lyons Animal Shelter, 161 Northeast Broad St., Lyons, GA 30436.
