In loving memory of Brenda King, a cherished mother, devoted wife, sibling, and dedicated public servant who passed away on July 11,2024.
Brenda leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment that touched the lives of many. Born December 18,1961 in Brooklyn, New York , Brenda was the beloved daughter of Vena and Larry Bristol, and grew up alongside her four siblings, Terry, Wayne, Denise and Danette.
Brenda's passion for serving her community led her to a career with the New York City Human Resources Administration, where she worked tirelessly for 25 years. Known for her compassion and unwavering dedication, Brenda positively impacted countless lives through her work.
Above all, Brenda cherished her role as a mother to her four children, Keya, Kyle, Korey and Keenan. Brenda also cherished her role as a wife to Michael King, her husband of 36 years. She was a pillar of strength and support for her family, always putting their needs above her own. Brenda's home was filled with love, laughter, and warmth, creating countless cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
In addition to her professional and familial accomplishments, Brenda enjoyed going out to eat with colleagues, watching movies and relaxing at home. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and infectious smile that could brighten anyone's day.
Brenda will be deeply missed by her husband, children, siblings, extended family, colleagues, and friends who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and service will continue to inspire and guide us all. May she rest in peace, knowing she made a lasting impact on the world and hearts of those she touched.
