Brenda Joyce Martin (9/11/1947 – 12/30/2023)

Brenda Martin, 76 of Cleburne, TX, died peacefully on December 30th, 2023.

She was the 4th of 5 children, born in Big Sandy, TX in 1947 to Nina and Wilburn Vaughn. Brenda was an incredibly kind, patient and generous woman. Family was what brought her the most joy and happiness. Brenda met the love of her life, Larry Martin while walking home from school with a friend one day. They were to be married 3 months later in Gilmer, TX. Brenda and Larry couldn’t wait to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them. Melissa, Cassie, and Micah were everything to Brenda. Brenda and Larry were owners of a successful HVAC company for many years. She was also very proud of and deeply loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brenda will always be remembered for her kindness and sweet nature. She was very giving, and even took in her brother’s 5 young children for a time when he passed away suddenly. She never asked for nor expected anything, but deserved so much for her loving and generous heart. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Wilburn and Nina, older brother Richard, older sister Sandy and is survived by her husband Larry, children Melissa Storrs, Cassie and Paul Fuller, and Lyn and Micah Deaton. As well as grandchildren Anthony and Christina Cisnero, Tara and Josh Lewis, Karly and Brandon Webb, Sarah and Sergio Vasquez, Jessica and Aaron Smith, Lexi Deaton, and Lora Fuller, as well as sister Judy Gibbons and brother Mike Vaughn. She enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren Hope, Tyler, Faith, Carter, Elijah, Grace, River, and was excited for the little one on the way.

The family will be planning a memorial service at a later time.
