Brandy always made me laugh I was just hanging with her the day before her passing for a little while. I didn't know it was the last time I would see her. Anyways I wrote this poem about her.
In memory of Brandy, a sister and a friend,
A life of love and laughter, too soon to end.
In harm reduction, her heart took flight,
Saving many lives, bringing hope and light.
Her spirit was funny, outgoing, and kind,
With a fierce honesty, she spoke her mind.
Her children were her world, her pride, her joy,
Every moment with them, she would always enjoy.
She loved riding her motorcycle, feeling free,
She rode it like a boss, with fearless glee.
A fearless woman, with strength and grace,
On that motorcycle, she found her place.
She had a habit of being late, never on time,
Forgetting to show up—it became her rhyme.
But when she arrived, it was worth the wait,
Her presence alone made everything great.
Every time I'd introduce her as my friend,
She'd be like, "Stop that—we're more than friends; we're like family till the end."
I met Brandy back in 2018,
From then on, our bond was deeply seen.
Like a sister to me, our hearts entwined,
A friendship so pure, one of a kind.
She'd always say, "We'll grow old together, you and me,"
Now that's not happening—I just can't believe.
You were one of the strongest people I've ever known all along.
Her passing was sudden, a painful surprise,
Now an angel watching from the skies.
Whoever has her as their guiding light,
Will feel her love, warm and bright.
Brandy, you'll be missed, forever in our hearts,
Your legacy lives on, even though we're apart.
An angel above, with wings so wide,
Guarding us all, with love as our guide.
