Brandon's obituary
Brandon James Hoard, “B”, 25, passed away September 11 th , 2021, due to injuries sustained in a
car accident in Walla Walla, Washington. Brandon was born in Burley, Idaho December 16 th ,
1995. Brandon graduated from Universal Technical Institute in Avondale, Arizona. Where he
was able to pursue his love of anything with an engine. He worked for Lithia Ford in Boise,
Idaho before moving to Dayton, Washington to work on airplanes. Brandon loved spending time
around airplanes and was hoping to start working on getting his pilot’s license. He is survived by
his mother Lori, his brother Ryan, his sisters Hailey, Christin, and Whitney, his brother-in-law
Gage, his grandfather Roland, his grandmother Linda, his uncle Jeff, his aunt Karen, his aunt
Debbie, his uncle Bob, and his cousins Landon, Kaylyn, and Kyra.
Brandon loved spending time with loved ones, fishing at Jubilee Lake, his Volkswagen Golf,
Raising Cane’s fried chicken, making his friends stay out way later than they should, sleeping
through thirty-five alarms in the morning (including one to remind him to brush his teeth and
“showa”), and bowling more games than you would think was humanly possible. Not necessarily
in that order. He hated vegetables and working on recalls for Lithia Ford. Not necessarily in that
order.
Brandon took fashion sense from no one. His every day look included a T-shirt that was two
sizes too large, distressed jeans that were more distress than jean, and a backwards baseball cap
that was so worn down his ears would poke out the sides.
Brandon had a lust for life that was infectious. He always brought up the mood at any gathering
and was always the center of entertainment. Something Brandon vied for his entire life. He was
always the comedian, the joker, the class-clown. He would do anything and everything to get a
smile out of someone. But truth be told, it was hard not to smile around him anyway.
Brandon excelled at nearly everything he tried. He was a very accomplished swimmer, an
extremely talented mechanic, the last person you want to bet against in bowling, amazing at
finding studs through a sheetrock wall, and he is, and always will be, the greatest friend someone
could ask for. Brandon would do anything for his friends, no matter how ridiculous the request.
Because he would rather spend his entire day trying to make someone else happy than even take
a single minute for himself. He was the most caring, compassionate, and loving person. Anyone
that had the absolute pleasure of meeting him can attest to that.
The holy rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday, September 20 th . The funeral Mass will be
celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 21 st . Both the rosary and Mass will be held at St.
Nicholas Catholic Church, located at 802 F Street in Rupert, Idaho. Burial will follow at Rupert
Cemetery.
