The day after Whitney and Gage’s wedding ceremony, the whole family went and floated the river, and I was invited to tag along as one of Gage’s best friends. And Gage, Brandon, and myself were having a lot of fun ducking under the overhanging branches along the river. Well along the way, I found myself stuck under a pile of logs with a current pushing me under them, barely able to catch my breath. Gage will tell you, it was a scary sight we both weren’t sure I was going to come out of… and Brandon leapt into action and helped to hoist me out from under the log pile. He was a man that always, without hesitation, tried to help others if he knew he could. I will always be thankful to him.
