Brandon Lee Christie
Born in Appleton, Wisconsin on September 6th, 1995 had passed away overlooking the mountains on September 2024 in Saranac, New York.
After graduating high school, Brandon joined the Marine Corps as a 0331 Machine Gunner. Upon completion of ITB (Infantry Training Battalion) Brandon was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California assigned to 1st battalion, 1st marines Alpha Company - weapons platoon. He had deployed with Marine Rotational force Darwin as well as the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit during his time in service.
After completing his enlistment with the Marines, he had gone on to pursue higher education. Brandon had first attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California before being accepted at Columbia University in NYC in 2021. At Columbia he had become director of external operations for the US Military Veterans of Columbia University (Milvets) and was passionate about working with nonprofits such as Warrior Scholarship Project, Next Step Inbound, and Mentor Ukraine. In 2022, he had received a service award at the annual GS Student Leadership Awards Ceremony.
Brandon was an incredibly intelligent, caring man who took naturally to the roles of teacher and leader. He was a solid friend and always had the best views in a crowd.This world was just too small for you and your presence will live on in all the lives of those who were so lucky to know you.
He is preceeded in death by his wife, Allison Alexxus Christie, Uncle Randy Evenson, Aunt Laura Christie, Uncle Albin, and grandparents Lester Christie, Ray Mogensen, Stanley Schulist, and Agnes Schulist.
He is survived by: his father Mark Christie (Jennifer Wenzel), mother Pamela Bloy, step- father Jason Bloy, grandmother Carol Mogensen, sister Dana Garner (Dylan Garner) as well as his niece and nephews, Aurora, Roman, Abram, and Soren Garner.
He will also live on through his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
