Dear Brandon Chase,

I want you to know that I love you, unconditionally and forever. Always have, always will! As your sister, I'm filled with regret that I couldn't protect you from life's hardships, our childhood up bringing, the mean world, and the demons you battled. "My Brothers Keeper", yet you're gone. I'm so sorry!

Today, Layne and I brought you home from Austin, and it feels surreal. Leonie met us there. Boy did she love the heck out of you! I'm grateful for her, and I know she misses you just as much as we do. We are all struggling to come to terms with your absence. We miss you so much, Brandon. Your laughter, your smile, your presence.

Your precious son Colt, and nieces and nephews miss you tremendously! I know they'd want me to tell you how much they love and cherish the memories they have of you. I wish I could have done more to shield you from pain, but I hope you knew I was here for you, always.
