2024, ANY TIME WE WERE TOGETHER .........

Brad had an encyclopedic memory when it came to speaking on all types of sports.  He & I shared numerous books on professional athletes.  His superlative athletic career at USML was as follows ......

""  Brad was a significant figure in the history of the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) baseball program.

**All-American Recognition**: Brad received an honorable mention as an All-American in 1970. This recognition marked him as the first UMSL baseball player to achieve this honor and the second student-athlete from UMSL to earn All-American status in any sport.

**First-Team All-Region**: In the same year, 1970, Brad was named to the first-team all-region, further cementing his status as one of the top players in the region.

Brad's leadership and skills were pivotal in leading the UMSL “”Rivermen”” ( Now Tritons ) to their first-ever postseason appearance at the 1970 NAIA regional tournament. This achievement was a milestone for the UMSL baseball team, setting a precedent for future successes.

Brad's accomplishments have had a lasting impact on UMSL's athletics, particularly in baseball, setting a high standard for future players and contributing to the growth and recognition of the program.

Brad's achievements during his time at UMSL in 1970 laid a strong foundation for the university's athletic programs. His recognition as an All-American and first-team all-region player highlighted his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport, inspiring future generations of UMSL athletes to strive for excellence both on and off the field.

Brad remains a celebrated figure in UMSL's sports history, remembered for his exceptional performance and pioneering spirit in baseball. His legacy continues to influence and inspire UMSL student-athletes.  ""

Mary & Megan,

My condolences to you on the passing of your Brad & Dad.

Love is immortality. Love is one. Love is the whole. Love is an endless sea that you fall into. And once you fall into it, you can’t fall out.

All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Your Brad & Dad is gone from your sight, but never from our hearts. May the cherished memories of Brad & Dad, and the love of family, continue to surround you and give you strength in the days and years ahead.

My thoughts and prayers are with you to assuage the grief of your family – BUT - Grief never ends .. it changes .. it’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of Faith – It’s the price of Love .

I will miss my rapport with Brad.  May his memory be eternal.
