Brad's obituary

Brad Thomas Dorsogna passed away in his home in Vermont on August 4, 2024. Brad leaves behind his children, Rebecca Dorsogna, Lola Dorsogna and Cooper Dorsogna and his older brother Eugene Dorsogna.

Brad was born on December 30, 1954 in Northport, NY to Donato Tomaso Dorsogna and Harriet Margaret Schwartz.  He majored in Film at Hofstra University, graduated in 1984 and began working in production at Cablevision Systems Inc. shortly thereafter. Brad developed professionally throughout his over twenty five years working relationship with Cablevision. He  took on increasingly significant creative and leadership roles including the production of an award winning documentary, the Extra Help Channel, The Challenge and numerous others kinds of programming for broadcast.

In the later part of Brad's life after a change of primary residence to Vermont in the early 2000's he turned his production talents to live theater and ultimately became an essential player in the launching of the Grange Theater in South Pomfret, VT.  in 2014.  Brad's expertise and solid work ethic were behind well over a dozen successful and popular musical productions during this decade.

Brad was a lover of his friends, his family and the arts. His humor could light up any room and he listened with a nonjudgmental ear to anything his loved ones had to say. He loved music and dancing. He took beautiful photographs and had a creative mind. He was a film connoisseur and especially loved Tarantino movies. He was passionate about politics, and thoroughly enjoyed a lively political conversation - or you could call it a debate. He was an avid reader, always sporting a pair of colorful reading glasses. He was an excellent cook and was always ready to prepare a delicious meal for his friends, family, and colleagues. He had an affinity for fashion and took great care when buying gifts for his loved ones. He enjoyed watching sports and was great company to watch them with. Brad will be dearly missed by the people he touched in his life. He was deeply loved.
