Brad's obituary

Bradley Douglas Crowe, known to all who loved him as Brad, passed away at the age of 46 on November 8, 2024, in Brighton, Michigan. Born on November 14, 1977, in Livonia, Michigan, Brad's life was a testament to the values of love, friendship, and thoughtfulness that he embodied every day.

Brad's early years were spent in the vibrant community of South Lyon, where he graduated from South Lyon High School in 1995. During his high school years, Brad was a standout athlete, excelling in both baseball and basketball, demonstrating not only his competitive spirit but also his commitment to teamwork and sportsmanship. His passion for sports was a theme that would continue throughout his life.

Furthering his education at Eastern Michigan University, Brad received his bachelor's degree, which paved the way for a successful career as an automotive designer with Brose North American. Brad dedicated nearly two decades to the company, where his creativity and attention to detail were highly valued. His work ethic and innovative designs left a lasting impact on the automotive industry.

Brad's love for sports was rivaled only by his devotion to his family. He married the love of his life, Jen, and together they raised four wonderful sons: Brayden, Dylan, Spencer, and Declan. Brad took immense pleasure in coaching his sons in various youth sports, instilling in them the values of fair play and perseverance. As his sons grew older, Brad's pride swelled as he traveled to watch them participate in their own sporting events. Brad was an avid sports fan who cherished every moment of cheering from the stands, whether it was a game at the Big House in Ann Arbor or a trip to Comerica Park to watch the Tigers.

Beyond the sports field, Brad enjoyed leisurely rounds of golf with friends and the occasional game of poker. His quiet but strong presence was a source of comfort and inspiration to those around him. Brad was a pillar of encouragement, always ready to offer support or a kind word to anyone in need.

Brad's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jen; their sons Brayden, Dylan, Spencer, and Declan; his mother, Rhonda (Richard) Fairfield; and his sister, Jenna Curry; in-laws William and Cheryl Jakubiak; brother-in-laws Jamie (Marisa) Jakubiak and Jon (Stacey) Jakubiak. Brad was preceded in death by his father, Robert Crowe.

Those who knew Brad will remember him as a loving husband, a devoted father, a caring son, and a loyal brother. His friendly demeanor and thoughtful nature made him a cherished friend and a respected member of his community.

As we say goodbye to Brad, we celebrate a life that was lived with passion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to family. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those he touched. Brad's journey through life was marked by countless moments of joy, laughter, and love, and it is these memories that we will hold close to our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or to the Brad Crowe Memorial Fund. Please wear purple for Brad’s memorial service at the First United Methodist Church in South Lyon on Thursday, 11:00am, for pancreatic awareness.
