Boyd did not want a funeral service, memorial event, celebration of life, or any other type of gathering. My son and I spoke at length about his wishes for "when his time came". I would like to first provide some transparency for those, Always curious... inquiring minds. We will not be holding a service or 'celebration'... (per Boyd's wishes). Boyd was very clear on this aspect as with other specific details he desired. I choose to honor those intentions. To really know Boyd, was a privilege only few were given in his too short lifetime. I am grateful he entrusted me with such an opportunity. My son was not overly emotional or sentimental about many things. If you are here, then you already know that. His children held the most significant position in his world. He had a heart big enough to reach even the smallest, cruelest stones, and laughter that reverberated proportionately. He was generous to a fault, accommodating in excess, a guru of Boydisms, THE patriotic professor and everyone's musketeer. He was many things to many people. I encourage you to be generous with your memories and relinquish as many photographic impressions as your Bytes can contend.
