Bonnie's obituary

Bonnie L Shope (Walters), Age 71, of Uniontown PA passed away to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday; March 7, 2020, in Clearwater River Florida as “Miss Bee”. She went peacefully at home.
Bonnie was born May 1, 1948, a daughter of Late Edward Walters and Nancy Walters (Frankhouser) and sister Linda Isban.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Shope— and her three children Chriss Shope, Kel Shope and DJ Davis and four grandchildren Joshua Shope, Faith Shope, Ashley Shope and Leah Davis; her niece Tara Will and children and her sister Joy Baran and children.
Bonnie grew up in Uniontown, PA and was well known as a Lead majorette for South Union High and taught Sunday School at Great Bethel Baptist Church.
She had a variety of jobs in her life. In Hawaii, she loved working in a family owned Exotic Flower farm, planting, harvesting, and making arrangements, shipping many flowers to the mainland.
She also made a lot of dear friends as she worked in Pahoa School as an assistant teacher for the 4th grade.
She left Hawaii, moved to Seattle, Washington. There she worked at Bremerton Elementary school as an aid for the 4th grade.
In 1990, With the heart of a Missionary she took to the roads in a RV and began travelling across america. There were many times I remember her sharing her testimony with ladies in the laundry mat and they would just cry, hugging her and saying Thank you for caring. (Her thought" Be Kind, almost everyone is fighting a fierce battle")
For many years, she had a painted rock ministry. Sharing decorated rocks with a blessed message. Her face would light up as she gave hope to the weary, and direction to the youth.
Bonnie continued making friends and being an example of Jesus wherever she worked.
She was teaching herself Hebrew and had a heart for Israel and the Jewish people. She had hopes to go there one day.
Living in Florida gave her many opportunities for adventures with Kayaking, biking and hiking. She always stopped to smell the flowers and appreciated the little things, like a Butterfly, as well as a Beautiful sunset.
She had a gentle spirit, and shared lots of love and patience. Her giving heart made a difference in peoples lives to the very end. She touched many lives in a unique way as she traveled and lived across America from Hawaii to Florida, witnessing to others with Love and The word of GOD.
Bonnie was a wonderful wife, an Awesome Mom and a good friend to many, she will be GREATLY MISSED...
