Personal note from Terry and Lynne Calhoun

Bonnie was a tender, sweet dog. She grew from jumping and shrinking back at noises and sights in her new home to prancing around and being underfoot when food was around. She looked into our eyes intently and affectionately pawed our faces. She went from looking like Eeyore on the leash to enthusiastically yanking at it, determined to pull us out of the house, or into Maple Hills Doggie Daycare. On hikes, she loved whisking her face through tall grass and pine branches. She was proud to be housebroken and showed us all the clean rooms so she could chow down a meat stick. She loved: frolicking in snow; pulling all the tennis balls out of a golf hole in our sunroom and batting them around; eating food by grabbing it out of the bowl and trotting noisily off to a carpeted room to eat it. She learned that sneezing and pushing on our leg with her nose got her attention. Her confidence grew as she realized how much she was loved. She taught us how to love each other. Thank you, Lord, for bringing Bonnie Rae's sweet heart into our lives.
