Bobby's obituary

Bobby LeShaun Thomas Sr. was born October 4, 1979 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was the first son to Wanda Russell Rhodes and Bobby Charles Butler both of Lawton, Oklahoma. Bobby attended and graduated from McArthur High School in Lawton, Oklahoma and studied mechanics at the Great Plains Technology Center, also in Lawton, Oklahoma. In 2000 Bobby received his Barberโ€™s license and worked with great pride in Atlanta, GA., where he resided until his untimely passing. Bobby had a loving spirit and was often found smiling from ear to ear, showing his dimples greatly inherited from his mother. As a young boy, Bobby was known for being the class comedian and keeping his grandparents quite busy advocating for his love of jokes. However, he was a great student and was very much admired by his classmates.
Bobby enjoyed fishing like his grandmother Clemmer Lee and so many of his uncles and cousins. He also loved applying his technical skills by working on cars in his spare time. He had a love for music and family gatherings which stemmed from his childhood spent in the church and surrounded by family.
Bobby accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at the age of thirteen at St. John Baptist Church under the shepherding of Rev. Davenport in Lawton, OK, where he attended with his grandmother Murlene Thomas.
Preceding him in death is his maternal grandparents Mermeond George Russell & Clemmer Lee Russell and paternal grandfather Harry L. Thomas.
Bobby is survived by his Son Bobby LaShaun Thomas Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, his Mother Wanda Russell Rhodes of Atlanta, Georgia, his Father Bobby Butler of Lawton, Oklahoma, his Paternal Grandmother Murlene Thomas of Lawton, Oklahoma, his Sister Latasha Russell Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, two Brothers Larry Russell and Mermeond Russell of Lawton, Oklahoma, his Brother In-Law Oliver Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, his Nephew Cedric Russell, Great Niece Leilani Russell and a host of Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.
