Bobby Mack Jones, beloved husband, father and Papa passed away with his wife Sandy by his side on the morning of August 25th at the age of 75.
Bobby Mack Jones was born May 23rd, 1943 in Lufkin, Texas. He grew up in Wells, Texas as the youngest of 5 children to Hettie Grace Baily Jones and Newton Chester Jones.
Bob moved to Houston, Texas in the 70’s where he began his lifelong career as a restaurant manager. He retired from IHOP in 2009 and in true Bob Jones fashion, he went back to work for longtime friend and boss, Henrick, one year later where he continued to work until 2017.
Bob was the proud father of his three amazing children Shane Jones, Meagen Jones, and Jennifer Mondy. He married his wife and best friend, Sandy, in 1998. The things he enjoyed most in his later years was working in the yard with Sandy, wood working in the garage, and having the whole family over for gatherings. The more the merrier!
He is survived by his wife Sandy; his children and their spouses, Shane Jones and Melanie Heter, Jennifer and James Mondy, Shannon and Shawn Edwards, Jonathan Edwards, and Rick Edwards; grandchildren, Timothy Edwards, Jamie Edwards, Alex Edwards, Jacob Edwards, Alexis Heter, Lynnedi Jones, Josh Edwards, Adrianna Edwards, Phoebe Jones, Madison Edwards, Rylee Edwards, Nikki Edwards; and great grandchildren, Rocky, Jayce, Landon and Jordan; sisters Reba Faye and Jeanette; and brother Donald.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at Lazybrook Baptist Church at 1822 W 18th St. Houston, TX 77008 with Rev. John Paul Norwood officiating.
