My big brother Bobby myself and our beloved grandfather

II would I would just like to say my story is very simple. Bob was my big brother we were 2 years apart in age. From day one he was my best friend my first playmate my everything. We got up for school every morning had breakfast together and caught the school bus. We saw each other in the hallways of high school and had a hug for one another. The many many times of going to his little league ball games and watching him pitch a shutout was amazing. Then the time came when he was 17 and signed up for the Army and I missed him tremendously so much so that when I was 17 I moved to Texas where he was stationed and live with him off post. Then he was transferred to Germany. Then I and his wife at the time Christina and my nephew Joshua flew over to Germany and I lived with him there as well. Then the time finally came for him to leave the military and we went on to have families and remained very close as we started our own Journeys separately. And when my husband suddenly passed away he was there by my side through every bit of it . I'll never forget the time and this is where his sense of humor comes into play first let me say when I was in labor for 21 hours with my first child Bob was there holding my hand helping me through my contractions along with my husband , anyway I had just had my son my first born Jacob and I had a very hard time and ended up with a emergency C-section and he was frantic. Anyway all went well and I was hooked to a morphine machine I had just finished breastfeeding and I was passed out and so was the baby but I had not covered up my boob, Bob came in woke me up and told me hey your boob was hanging out but I covered you up but not before I passed the chaplain coming out of your room prior to me coming in. I was mortified then he started laughing said I'm only teasing sis the chaplain wasn't in here LOL I could call him day or night for anything and he was there for me always so it was only right that I was right by his side when he took his last breath on May 2nd at 2:45 p.m. rubbing his hair talking to him in his ear telling him you can go now brother and thank you for everything you ever did for me and for being the best Big Brother a little sister could ever have. Having to come home and break our mother's heart telling her she lost her baby boy her first baby was the hardest thing I ever did. But I did it for you as much as it crushed me it was the least I could do for you was to tell her and to be by your side in the end. I cannot tell you how much I miss you so much and it will take the rest of my life to ever get over that loss of you.

True Story: We walked up to one of our neighbors house and they just happen to have a small pond in their front yard, by small it was about 3 x 2 and about 2 foot deep and full of water. As we walked by we noticed something moving around so we stopped to take a look. We couldn't believe it but a baby Squirrell was swimming around in it. The poor thing could not get out because the sides were to steep and the water was to low so it was just swimming around trying to stay afloat. When it saw us it kept trying to climb the sides, as far as Bob was concerned, it was begging for help. Bob found a stick so it could climb on, which it did, it was exhausted and did not move at all. I went to the door to ask if they had a towel we could use to wrap it in so we could take it home. At this point it stopped being our project and became Bob's project. He took it back to our house and the squirrel still did not move. Bob found an old Easter basket and put it in the basked with the towel and hung it from the top of the cover on his deck. Lonny Hollingsworth came by about an hour later to shoot darts and bob was telling him about the baby squirrel and about that time they heard a loud noise so they looked up and saw the squirrel was out of the basket. It was looking at them chattering and swishing it's tail as if to say Thanks Dude! and ran off. We never saw it again. Bob saved that little things life, it would have drowned if he wouldn't have got it out and he had not put it in the baskets the dogs would have gotten to it. It was sweet to see him help out that little baby. I was proud of him, he was proud of himself, and Lonny was laughing his ass off at the whole thing. Bob The Squirrel Saver!

This story is about Bob and Dalton who was about 3 years old when this happened. We all know how difficult it can be going out to eat with a small child, Dalton was not different except he was a little bit more active than most kids - He is a Dugger. We decided to go to Fuddruckers to eat and if any one has eaten there they know the place has very high ceiling and the duct work is exposed, this causes echo. We, like all parents, know that it is best to go during low peak times so we could let Dalton move around without bothering other customers. Which is what we did except this time he moved out of our line of site so Bob went to check on him. Everything was fine until I heard a loud "Fuck You". Let me explain Dalton had been raised around adults mainly Bob's friends, and they sometimes used langue that was a bit colorful. Dalton picked it up, now we were warned to get it under control, but being experienced parents, we did not listen. So his word usage was not surprising what was is how loud it was and it echoed. When I looked up I saw Dalton standing there looking up at his Dad laughing and Bob bending over so he could look him in the eye, his hand on his waist with a look on his face of utter horror, his reply was "wait till we find your Dad your going to be in trouble" my reacting was total amusement, I started laughing so hard and out loud. Bob got him back to the table, he was not amused at all, by me or by Dalton, he was ready to leave. Needless to say we never ate at Fuddruckers again, as a ,atter of fact we did not eat out with Dalton until he took us out to eat and he paid.

MyMy brother was the best big brother and little sister could ever have. And the best friend anyone could ever ask for. He was my first friend, my first playmate and my protector always. He is missed every minute of every day by me and his family. And by so many others. There will never be another him. I love you my dear brother and I miss you more than I could ever tell you.
