Bobbie's obituary

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Waites passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Abilene, Texas, at the age of 88.

Born on March 14, 1937, Bobbie Jean lived a life marked by faith, joy, and love for others. Her deep devotion to God was central to her life; she especially cherished watching John and Matt Hagee from Cornerstone Church in San Antonio. Her spiritual strength and unwavering belief were a source of comfort and inspiration to those around her.

Bobbie found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved to sing, dance, and play cards, often sharing laughter and joy with friends and family. Rose Park held a special place in her heart—she enjoyed spending time there volunteering and connecting with her community.

Her love extended deeply to her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Terri Thompson and Paula Serrato; her grandchildren Carl Brewer, Kayla Thacker, and her husband, Kenneth, Chris Steward and his wife, Deborah; Billy Joe Steward and his wife, Elizabeth; and Catie McCoy and her husband, Mike. Bobbie also leaves behind several great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love and faith.

Bobbie's warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit touched many lives. Her memory will continue to bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
