Bobbie Jo McElroy passed away on December 5th, 2024 in peace and comfort at Roper St. Francis in Charleston South Carolina. She is survived by her daughter Lilli, as well as her three grandchildren Alex, Ellie, and Raven. She may also be survived by her two eldest sons, Mark and Casey, who were adopted when very young and their status is currently unknown. She never stopped missing them for a single moment of her life, and wanted very much to see them again.

After a lifetime of difficulties, and a multitude of illnesses, Bobbie has passed somewhat unexpectedly from this world. Anyone who knew her would say that while she was often headstrong and challenging, at her core she was kind person who had seen more than her fair share of hardship and cruelty. For all her misdeeds and vices, her heart was very often in the right place, and though her behavior did not always reflect it, she was a genuinely good person. She held a lot of hurt in her heart from all the hardship she faced in her time with us, and she wasn't able to manage it very well in the last few seasons of her life. She did not want anyone to grieve her, and in the end she went out of her way to push those who did care for her as far away as possible. She would not have wanted an obituary, but it seemed unconscionable to let her pass from this life without leaving a beacon for anyone that cared for her to find. May the knowledge that she is no longer suffering bring you comfort.
