Bobbie's obituary
In loving memory of Bobbie Jean Evans, 81, a remarkable woman born on May 4th, 1942, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to Cornith Eugene Evans and Lula Pearl Brown Evans. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 16th, 2024.
Bobbie graduated from Hopland High in Hopland, California, in 1961, and later pursued her passion for cosmetology, earning her license.
In 1965, she married Roy Nutt in Riverside, California, and together they welcomed three children into the world: Jim in 1966, Jennifer in 1970, and Jon in 1971. Although life took its turns, Bobbie's heart expanded when she married Clifford Kirby in 1973, and they had a beautiful daughter, Peggy, in 1974. Unfortunately, their paths diverged, leading to a divorce.
Known affectionately as the town's Mom, Bobbie had an extraordinary ability to embrace anyone who sought comfort or advice. Her home was a haven for those in need, and she left an indelible mark by treating everyone like family. Many fondly remember the delicious pancakes topped with peanut butter served at her table and the delicious watermelon.
Bobbie's love extended beyond her immediate family. She was actively involved in her children's lives, whether volunteering in schools or organizing carpools.
Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She is survived by her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In honoring Bobbie's wishes, a public memorial service will be held in Clearwater, Minnesota at a future date in the Summer. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Bobbie’s name.
May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all.
