Bobbi's obituary

Bobbi Cohan, age 83, passed away on January 19, 2021 in Montgomery, Alabama. She is survived by her son, Michael Joseph Cohan, daughter-in-law, Shelby Seale Cohan, grandson, Michael Adams Cohan, and granddaughter, Sara Pierce Cohan, all of Auburn, Alabama. Bobbi was born in Washington, D.C., and spent most of her life in the D.C. - Maryland area, until recently moving from Wheaton to Alabama to be with family. She retired from Avon Products after a long and successful career, culminating as a District Sales Manager. As a single mother in an era that did not often see such, Bobbi was able to raise and provide for her son, often beyond her means. She enjoyed travel (not by plane), especially to the beach, and to visit friends and family. An avid Steelers and Alabama Crimson Tide fan, Bobbi was able to witness her teams’ recent success before her passing. There was not a holiday that Bobbi did not enjoy, as was evident from her extravagant decorating for each occasion, none more so than Christmas. Aside from her beloved family, Bobbi leaves behind an untold number of loving friends and her family cannot express enough how thankful they are for the love and care they showed Bobbi over the years. Special thanks to the ladies of LOL, Zoomba and Bonebuilders. Proud, independent and stubborn at times, her greatest traits were her love of life, outgoing personality and sense of humor. As were Bobbi’s wishes, in lieu of funeral services, please consider celebrating her life by donating to your local humane shelter or similar organization supporting the care and treatment of animals.
