Bob's obituary

Robert "Bob" Alan Hahn, age 71, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 surrounded by his children. Bob was born June 17, 1950 in Somers Point, NJ.

Bob was a native of New Jersey and later moved to Nevada where he began his career in the casino industry. Bob and his family relocated to Louisiana in 1994 to further his career in the casino industry where he became the Vice President of Gaming for Paragon Casino. During his 35 year long career he was also employed at Delta Downs Casino and later retired from L'auberge.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1968 until 1972. During his service he served a tour in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969. He embodied the Marine Corp creed through every aspect of his life. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 22 grandchildren! His hobbies included, cooking, working on computers, tending his garden, carpentry, and spending time on his porch watching the sun come up while thinking about his beloved wife, Jean.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Lisa Pangburn (Terry) of Millville, NJ, Linda Daigrepont (William) of Plaucheville, LA, Robert Hahn (Monica) of Hot Springs, AR, Ray Hahn (Laura) of Bennington, NE, Valdo "Buddy" Hahn of Sulphur, LA, Jean Hahn of Sulphur, LA; his 21 grandchildren; his 11 great grandchildren; his siblings, Alice Bettridge (Ward), Harold "Bud" Hahn, Vickie Helminski (Gary), Steve Hahn, Lori Ramos, Debbie Garbutt; and a host of step siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Jean Hahn; granddaughter, Bella Hahn; siblings, Valerie Hahn, Donna Ramos, and David Ramos.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. CST on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Nathan Yates will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. CST until time of funeral service. Cremation will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
