Robert Courtney sadly died on January 24, 2015 at the age of 88. He was born on August 1, 1926 in Oklahoma. He was a dust bowl refugee and met Bette Courtney and became engaged. On February 7, 1946, Bob and Bette married. They had three daughters, Janice, Kathy and Debby. Bob was an impressive builder, and moved to California to build his own home.
